A little closer
to the wild.
Bjelolasica. A pale ridge above a sea of forest, and a different rhythm of Croatia.
Discover the mountainAbove the forest.
Beyond the hurry.
The coast has its own kind of beauty. Here, the horizon belongs to the mountains. In the Velika Kapela range, Bjelolasica rises to Kula at 1,534 metres — the highest point in Gorski Kotar. Beech woodland gives way to open grassland, and the ridge lets the landscape unfold in every direction.
Come for a proper mountain day. Stay for the stillness of Jasenak, the changing light and a morning with nowhere urgent to be. This is an invitation to explore slowly, with respect for the mountain and the people who call its valleys home.

Four ways to feel it.

Spring
The forest wakes slowly. Snow may remain high on the ridge; check conditions before climbing.
Summer
Longer days and green woodland. Start early, carry water and watch the forecast.
Autumn
Copper leaves and softer light. Shorter days make an early return part of the plan.
Winter
A quieter, demanding mountain. Snow and ice require suitable skills and equipment.
